DAY THREE

Yesterday morning in Wyoming, we watched as three antlered deer bounded across the road. Today, in Montana, we watched as a lone antlered deer ran and lept across the highway. It looked for all the world like he was racing to the Wal-Mart!

Speaking of Wal-Mart...Vonnie, the kids and I had a blast looking through the Wal-Mart in Bozeman, Montana today. The inventory in that Wal-Mart was a LOT different than the Wal-Marts in Missouri...especially the clothing. We could have easily spent several hours there if the men in our group hadn't been out to conquer the time time schedule! Oh well! At least they let us go! (We have to keep thinking up reasons why we HAVE to stop and shop!)

Later, we had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at a little rest area. The kids discovered a trail that ran down to a mountain stream. We have really enjoyed our three days of traveling....amazingly enough! The drive has been fun. Today we got a taste of some great scenery...but, I think we are going to see a lot more dramatic scenery tomorrow as we go to Lake Louise in Canada. We will be camping, beginning tomorrow. We won't hit another hotel until Monday evening...so, this blog will be quiet until then! I am sure we will have LOTS of photos to post Monday!!!

  • Annika is my niece. She was born with bilary atresia and had to have her first major surgery at the age of 6 weeks. Just before she turned a year old, she had to have a liver transplant. Two and a half months later, she had to have a second transplant. Now, five years old, she needs a third transplant and her family's insurance is nearly maxed out so a COTA fund has been established to raise the money needed.
(Please click on the little bear button above to donate to her COTA account or to view the raffles and other projects that are in progress to build the fund. If you have crafts, etc, that you could donate to be sold/raffled, this would also help greatly!)
