  KING FOR THE DAY:
Doug's Birthday!
  
 
Today Doug turned eight years old! He LIVES to be in costume, so we began the morning by giving him a royal costume (which he donned over his Man of Steel PJs!) and then we let him savor the presents that he will get to open tonight at his birthday gathering. We did let him open one present from the family (a DVD) and Darcy let him open both of the presents she had gotten him (another cape and a Superman painting poster). He paused in his admiring of the wrapped gifts to receive a Texas phone call from Pop John and Yea Yea...delighted to hear them singing "Happy Birthday" to him! 

















(Oh the delightful torment of anticipation!)

Oh, Amanda...since I had a PICTURE in hand of you and your presentable young beau, I had to go ahead and publish your comments!   • Annika is my niece. She was born with bilary atresia and had to have her first major surgery at the age of 6 weeks. Just before she turned a year old, she had to have a liver transplant. Two and a half months later, she had to have a second transplant. Now, five years old, she needs a third transplant and her family's insurance is nearly maxed out so a COTA fund has been established to raise the money needed.
    (Please click on the little bear button above to donate to her COTA account or to view the raffles and other projects that are in progress to build the fund. If you have crafts, etc, that you could donate to be sold/raffled, this would also help greatly!)
