  Rohan all grown up...

Last night Darcy dreamed she was playing with Rohan and Rivendell...then Rohan disappeared. I found her softly sobbing with Rayna trying to comfort her. We hadn't seen Rohan since we gave him away about three months ago. I called his new owner today (Doug's former first grade teacher) to ask her if we could come by and see Rohan. I think Darcy just needed to see that the puppy was healthy and happy. She felt a lot better after we saw him again.

This last picture is Darcy with Rivendell (Rohan's sister) a few days ago. We kept Rivendell (or "Rip and Tear" as Darcy's grandfather has dubbed her!). Rivendell is an exceptional dog. She is so quick to catch on to things and such a confident dog. She follows the kids closely and guards them whenever they are outside. In spite of her mischieviousness and her penchant for dragging away things and chewing them up, I'm awfully glad we brought her home so many months ago when we found her and her brother abandoned by the side of a gravel road way out in the country.

Pictures and stories of the day to day life of Darcy (born in LinChuan of JiangXi Province in China almost eleven years ago), of Doug (born in Kaohsiung City in Taiwan almost eight years ago), and of Rayna (born in DingYuan of AnHui Province in China four and a half years ago)...

  • Annika is my niece. She was born with bilary atresia and had to have her first major surgery at the age of 6 weeks. Just before she turned a year old, she had to have a liver transplant. Two and a half months later, she had to have a second transplant. Now, five years old, she needs a third transplant and her family's insurance is nearly maxed out so a COTA fund has been established to raise the money needed.
(Please click on the little bear button above to donate to her COTA account or to view the raffles and other projects that are in progress to build the fund. If you have crafts, etc, that you could donate to be sold/raffled, this would also help greatly!)
