The Saga of Doug's Passport Continues...
Regarding Doug's U.S. passport....it only has been getting more weird and convuluted since I last wrote about it. The passport agency about had me tearing my hair out today. They won't send me back the documents I may need as early as THIS COMING THURSDAY for court. Go figure. They insist on a court recognition, but won't send back the documents I NEED to get that recognition. Today the lady I spoke with said, "Maybe they are going to issue his passport without the recognition decree afterall...I think you should just wait and see." Easy for HER to say....SHE didn't just pay the lawyer $810 two days ago for downpayment on a recognition decree that I might not need now!!!! AARGGG!!! Oh well! The kicker will be, though, if New Orleans holds onto my documents too late for me to GET the decree and THEN decide I DO have to have it. That is the way I see this whole thing panning out! So FRUSTRATING!!!!!!! Oh well.

  • Annika is my niece. She was born with bilary atresia and had to have her first major surgery at the age of 6 weeks. Just before she turned a year old, she had to have a liver transplant. Two and a half months later, she had to have a second transplant. Now, five years old, she needs a third transplant and her family's insurance is nearly maxed out so a COTA fund has been established to raise the money needed.
(Please click on the little bear button above to donate to her COTA account or to view the raffles and other projects that are in progress to build the fund. If you have crafts, etc, that you could donate to be sold/raffled, this would also help greatly!)
