  Monica needs
Okay, I admit it...I am in a weird mood today! As my three year old wanders about the house intoning solemnly to herself that she knows she is too serious, I have been cruising the internet window shopping through the blogs of total strangers. Often I have seen on blogs 'Top 100 Things About Me' lists that the author of the blog will put together...odd facts that give strangers out there a bit of an idea what the author's idiocincricies might be. Though they are often humorous to read, I have never been gripped with the notion to set forth in print such a list of my own. Today, however, I came across someone's 'Needs' list... The idea is that you go to google.com and enter your name and the word 'needs'. The result is page upon page delineating what your needs are. I decided it was a lot cheaper and quicker than going to a psychiatrist, so I googled my name (Monica) modified by the word 'needs'. Below is what I learned from just the first ten pages of the Google search (my attention span wasn't long enough to see it to the very end!)...

Monica needs a Bicycle
Monica needs a job
(well, actually I HAVE the new job, now!)
Monica needs an SM2 decal
Monica Needs A Homeless Initiative Secretary.
Monica needs to look at agriculture
Monica needs to integrate
Monica needs a permanent family who will be involved in her therapy, can provide
a safe, structured, and consistent environment
.
Monica needs elected leaders and city employees whose agenda is respecting
citizens and working together to solve problems
Monica needs to move in a new direction
Monica needs 16 ¾ oz per day.
The last thing Monica needs is an urban tattoo.
Monica needs to move quickly if she is not to be left hopelessly behind by
the wireless revolution.
Monica needs to reduce
Monica needs a revamped city ...
Monica needs to put a sock in it
Monica needs special mention
Monica needs a drink.
I think Monica needs some serious therapy
Monica: Needs some serious TLC
Monica: Needs to get renovated!
Monica needs a good bistro
Monica needs a copy!
MONICA NEEDS TO ELABORATE (do I ever!)
Monica needs a TIME OUT!
What Monica most needs is to avoid going to prison
Monica needs a background vocal
Monica needs volunteer docents to greet visitors
"I don't need anybody to help me express myself. Never have." Monica
Monica needs a break
"We need Monica in Washington to fight for Montanans"

Thus ends the illustrious list of my needs! I have taken the liberty of highlighting in purple the needs that have the ring of truth in them! I can't believe I have nothing better to do today than google my name! (And nothing better to write about than what I learned from googling my name!) Maybe what I really need is to get a life...or at least a camera! (Evil Roy, I FEEL your pain...."I aint got no camera!")

  • Annika is my niece. She was born with bilary atresia and had to have her first major surgery at the age of 6 weeks. Just before she turned a year old, she had to have a liver transplant. Two and a half months later, she had to have a second transplant. Now, five years old, she needs a third transplant and her family's insurance is nearly maxed out so a COTA fund has been established to raise the money needed.
(Please click on the little bear button above to donate to her COTA account or to view the raffles and other projects that are in progress to build the fund. If you have crafts, etc, that you could donate to be sold/raffled, this would also help greatly!)
