  Portraits from May...

Every year I try to get each of the kids photographed just after their birthdays. Rayna's fourth birthday was February 25th...and I didn't get around to taking her for photos until MAY...and, even then, it wasn't a PLANNED portrait. We were just out on a "Mother/Daughter Day" and happened to notice there wasn't any line at the Wal-Mart portrait studio, so we said, "Why not?!" Silly me...I bought the floppy of the portraits, but, after I got home, I discovered my current computer doesn't HAVE a FLOPPY DRIVE!

I just purchased a "plug in" floppy drive last night...and, this morning, for the first time I was able to view the floppy of Rayna's May portraits...anyway, here they are for you to see, too...

Since I didn't want to be tempted to buy any of the extra poses (just the initial pose that is in the value package), I didn't have the photographer change the backgrounds or try for different looks, really, with Rayna...and I just said, "Yes. Keep it!" for every shot she took--not retaking any of them. But, even though I tried for 'rotten pictures' for all but the first one, I still got tempted in the end and broke down and bought the floppy so that I would have a copy of each of the poses. (Then I came home to discover I didn't even HAVE a floppy drive to access them with! DUHHHH!)

  • Annika is my niece. She was born with bilary atresia and had to have her first major surgery at the age of 6 weeks. Just before she turned a year old, she had to have a liver transplant. Two and a half months later, she had to have a second transplant. Now, five years old, she needs a third transplant and her family's insurance is nearly maxed out so a COTA fund has been established to raise the money needed.
(Please click on the little bear button above to donate to her COTA account or to view the raffles and other projects that are in progress to build the fund. If you have crafts, etc, that you could donate to be sold/raffled, this would also help greatly!)
