Alfalfa Doug now has a U.S. Passport!
This morning as we were getting ready to head out to the library, I asked Darcy to comb and part and comb her brother's hair for me. She did. And when her brother stepped out of the bathroom, he put me in mind of ALFALFA! Is it just me, or does a center part really give him an ALFALFA quality? (you know...the lead character in "Our Gang")

Good news on the passport front....yesterday we received Doug's U.S. passport in the mail! Yeah!!! Now we won't have to leave him in Canada at the border on our way home from our vacation! He's been a U.S. citizen for almost two years now...but yesterday was the first day we could PROVE his citizenship. I am relieved that that is taken care of.

  • Annika is my niece. She was born with bilary atresia and had to have her first major surgery at the age of 6 weeks. Just before she turned a year old, she had to have a liver transplant. Two and a half months later, she had to have a second transplant. Now, five years old, she needs a third transplant and her family's insurance is nearly maxed out so a COTA fund has been established to raise the money needed.
(Please click on the little bear button above to donate to her COTA account or to view the raffles and other projects that are in progress to build the fund. If you have crafts, etc, that you could donate to be sold/raffled, this would also help greatly!)
