  Sprites from afar...
Okay everyone....I am still learning the nuances of this whole blogging thing.... anyway, I just now discovered that at the very top of your screen (just under the general menu bar) and next to the "Blogger search" box, there are the words "Blog This!" that you can click on.....and if you DO click on those two words, a little pop-up screen appears that you can write in. Just clear the text that is already in the white box (HTML link for this page) and begin writing (or you can leave the HTML there and just start writing after it, if you prefer....it will just precede your text with a link to the web site once you publish your text). Write whatever you would like to post and then when you are finished, just click on the "Publish" button at the top of that little pop up screen and WHALLA...your words will be posted just like this entry was for me just now! (I used the "Blog This" pop-up screen to write this post!) Pretty cool and way faster than going back to the 'create' screen to make your post!

I am going to use this blog site as sort of a family scrapbook. Please post YOUR favorite stories or thoughts about the kids. I plan on printing out a section at a time and making a REAL scrapbook with the entries.

It would be nice, too, just to have interesting (or funny!) stories about EVERYONE in the family in this scrapbook. I hope everyone will continue to write....Adam?....Aaron?..... Darcy reads the blog a lot more often than she WRITES in it....and someday Rayna and Doug will have fun looking back over the family banter, too!

  • Annika is my niece. She was born with bilary atresia and had to have her first major surgery at the age of 6 weeks. Just before she turned a year old, she had to have a liver transplant. Two and a half months later, she had to have a second transplant. Now, five years old, she needs a third transplant and her family's insurance is nearly maxed out so a COTA fund has been established to raise the money needed.
(Please click on the little bear button above to donate to her COTA account or to view the raffles and other projects that are in progress to build the fund. If you have crafts, etc, that you could donate to be sold/raffled, this would also help greatly!)
